Today is International Volunteer Day (IVD). We are an international organization with legions of volunteers in Canada, Mexico, the U.K. and the U.S. and members in many other countries around the world. The Association of Junior Leagues International is a proud member of IAVE—the International Association for Volunteer Effort—and the only global volunteer organization. Today, we share exciting news from IAVE.
We are pleased to announce that the UN adopted a new resolution which specifically acknowledges IAVE “Integrating volunteering into peace and development: the plan of action for the next decade and beyond”.
